i have four girls. brisby, lealu, mumu, and edelweiss. brisby and lealu are sisters, the other two are sisters as well as lealus daughters. lately, they all seem to be kinda gaining up on brisby. (although i have seen brisby do this to them as well) basically it looks like they are wrestling. the do squeak a little, nothing really loud. almost an annoyance squeak. at first i thought they were biting also, but when i looked closer it seemed like they were just grooming. an "intervention" groom perhaps?? they have all had baths together a few times, so no one should smell any different... i check reg every day for any scratches or bite marks and have found none. is this just play or fighting or what? they sleep together peacefully and seem fine really during play time its mostly just in their cage they do this. am i being paranoid? thanks for any input!

Sounds like they're just playing and rough-housing.  Rats can get kind of rough when they're playing and as long as you're not seeing any blood and they're cuddling together afterwards, I'd think everything is fine.

I agree with Deb here, just playfighting. Sometimes it can really seem like they're being aggressive, but if theres no blood drawn (granted occasionally there is "accidental" blood when play-fighting), I wouldn't worry about it, especially if they're cuddly afterwards.
