I'm trying to convince my parents to let me get rats. My dad's first reaction was "Rats are gross and ugly!" So I'm trying to convince him otherwise  Tongue I would love some adorable, cuddly rat pictures!  Yellow Cute Laugh Thanks!

To be totally honest, hon, rats are an acquired taste. I have the cutest rats in the world (though I am biased) but my boyfriend still finds them ugly. He doesn't hate them or anything, they're just not his thing, and he finds them to be physically repulsive, while I on the other hand, personally feel that they are aesthetically pleasing. While it's possible to change your dad's mind, some people are just that way.

ETA --- After I typed the above, I asked my BF if he thought any of my rats were "cute", and if so, which one was the cutest. He chose Pearl, one of my three newest girls:



(FYI - She had just dunked her head in some juice so that is why she is not oh-so-sparkly white in that picture).

This is one of my favorite pictures of two rat babies sleeping underneath the fleece lining.  They were Ratty Krazy's babies, and I ended up getting three of them from her.

an old photo of my old late rat, Guiness who passed away a while ago, and Rakushun when he was younger.  Guiness was really old and not doing too well in this photo, but he was definitely content...

Also, really, get him to look at any baby photos, especially a couple days after they open their eyes.  Or even youtube videos of them!  They're flipping adorable at that stage!
