My boys are so difficult to photograph...for the longest time I've only had a couple of baby pictures. They're very active, active young men, not at all interested in sitting still to look cute for the camera. The fact that my camera is old and has a slow shutter speed doesn't help, either. The most common result: Blur Rat!
But, I stayed determined! I tried coaxing them to pose with treats while they were out on my bed, to very limited success (though I got a few fuzzy shots). I tried putting them in their cage, hoping they might be more still, but they simply darted around waiting for me to open the door (since the only time that Mommy comes over to the cage is for play time and food time!). I didn't get a single decent shot that way. So, finally, I locked them in my smaller "spare cage" in the hopes that, with less space to run around in, they might sit still for a few seconds. And behold, it worked. Sort of. They sat still and looked cute, poking their noses through the bars wondering what was going on, and I was able to get a couple decent pictures.
So, meet Houdini and Patroclus. Houdini is the wee little cute black hoodie, and Patroclus is the handsome PEW.
First, some baby pictures, taken a few days after I bought them home.

Still not so sure about this new place....

Mommy shouldn't have used the flash.

Not quite sure what to make of the bed...

Dini found the pillow pile.
And now, the handsome little guys all grown up.

Pat doesn't understand why Mom won't let him out...she's standing right there!

Dini is not thrilled, either.

Horribly out of focus, but that face is too precious.

Bad picture again, but adorable pose.

Dini nose.

What handsome boys, demonic PEW eyes and all.

Pat's handsome face, and Dini's stylish markings.

Houdini says hello.

Cute little manimals.

Horrible picture, but Pat LOVES my laptop.

Out-of-focus Dini-munch.
So, there they are. I'm a little new to the world of photographing small, fast-moving animals, so I'll keep trying, and hopefully end up being able to do their cuteness justice some day soon.
