Mainely Rat Rescue had 102 babies to place and I am happy to report that all but 6 of those babies have gone home!!

We have three pairs of lovely young ladies still waiting for their forever families.  Here is what their foster Moms have to say about them.

Bangor Sisters: Abagael and Brigit (gorgeous Siamese sisters DOB 11/01/08)

"Abagael: She’s laying low on the bedspread, head down, ears perked. She’s completely motionless, gazing at her prey in front of her. She hunkers down and her ears start vibrating like a motor, and suddenly she LEAPS! … onto Colliope in front of her, rolling around and wrestling like crazy. Abagael is named for joy, and she has much of it. She is the little girl who likes to jump and play, and will leap onto anything that looks like it will give her a tussle, whether it be her sisters or your hand. She is particularly fond of being flipped on her back and having her belly tickled.

Brigit:  Four little rittens are sprawled out on a coverlet, sleepily dreaming. A sound makes them jump and they all huddle into a little ball, except for one. She lazily stretches out and lays on top of the other three rittens, almost completely covering them since she is the largest, and falls back to sleep on them as they instantly calm down and fall back asleep. This is Brigit, meaning lofty or exalted. Though playful, she is very protective and noble and
likes to make sure that her sisters are happy and feel safe. She enjoys a soft ear rub and likes her nose stroked."

Magnolia and Iris: (super sweet black hooded darlings, DOB 12/29/08)

These two girls were handled and loved daily from birth in their first foster home where they were raised.  They have been around children, cats and dogs and have been very well socialized.  These little sweetie pies would fit in well with any family!!  They have been paired off together since they were weaned.

"Magnolia is the adventurous one, always willing to come out of the cage for a chance to explore. She loves to play and wrestle.

Iris is laid back and calm.  She enjoys sitting on shoulders for a good view or a nap.  She loves her fresh veggies and fruit… and snacks in general!"

Izzy (blue hooded, DOB 11/1/08) and Ariel (PEW, DOB 12/05/08)

"They are adorable together - always wrestling or snuggling together.  Izzy loves to sleep on top of her much smaller sister and the arrangement appears to work for both of them.  Izzy is really friendly, she runs up to sniff me and grab my finger when I open the cage.  She loves food and can smell it from miles away.  She will take food from me and run around the cage with it in absolute joy.  She is a little shy when I take her out of the cage, sweet and snuggly but she can get a little scared if there are any sudden movements.  Ariel, on the other hand, is a very brave girl.  She gets really excited when my dog is around, she sniffs my dog and marches right up to get closer to her.  She is very snuggly and loves to cuddle under a collar or a scarf.  She is an avid runner, enjoying sprints in her wheel at all hours of the day and night.  She also decorates her wheel with pieces of fleece. They are quite a pair - full of personality and love."

Transportion can usually be arranged throughout New England (and NEW YORK!) They are eligible for our discounted spay surgery ($60.00) apiece before they go home.
