A few days ago I adopted a female rat from Petland. Well, it turns out she's pregnant and should be having the babies within a week. My mom got all freaked out when I told her Lady Bug is pregnant, and now I have to find a home for her as well.

I'm going to start taking reservations for the babies on a first come basis. I live in Wheaton and may be willing to travel half-way to some places for my babies to get a good home, or I could meet up with adopters at the DuPage Pet Expo on either August 1st or 16th. I'm asking an adoption fee of $7 per rat, which is a dollar above the feeder prices here, just to make sure they're going to a good home.
Bug is a very sweet little girl. She's a little shy, but loves licking applesauce off my finger and bruxes while being held. Her babies will handled every day and hopefully will be well socialized little guys by the time they're ready to go home.
Here's a picture of Bug (I think she's an agouti variberk):

If you are interested in adopting Bug or one (or two!) of her babies, please PM me or email me at
