Rat in NY in need of help

A local pet store (syracuse, NY) has a 10-11 month female black self up for "adoption". She is free as they cannot sell her in her present condition. She is severely cage aggressive and will not let anyone other than myself near her cage or she dives at fingers.  For some reason she hasn't done so to me and I have only seen her three times. She is in a tiny single level wire bottomed cage with no toys or hiding spots. I just cut her a home out of a bucket they used to keep fish food in. The cage isn't ever cleaned (the cage wire itself, not the bedding underneath which is Carefresh) so I'm guessing bumble foot is a certainty if someone cannot pick her up. She is living on a seed mix at the moment but the manager gives her carrots each day. I cannot take her myself but I think about her every day in such terrible conditions. I'm sure with work she will be just fine. We believe she was a customer return and may have been abused in the few days she was gone and this is why she is protective of her cage. She has not lived with a cage mate in a few months so she is on her own. She has been like this for around three months. Can anyone come get her and help her out of her present situation?

I emailed you the petstore name via your email link on your website. I don't feel comfortable leaving the pet store name here as I worked there for a while. I REALLY hope you can take her. She is in such a bad situation and it just isn't going to get better. We cannot find anyone to take her!

Finally she will have a name other than Possessed (the employees just addoooore her as you can tell...). =) Cannot WAIT to see her.

A possible happy ending to a horrible start to life. I'm thrilled! I hope it works out for you. She will be work, but I know she will be worth it!
