I am so excited, this weekend I will be getting the 143 add-on! I was checking out craigslist last night and for whatever reason the Eastern CT craigslist came up, I live in RI and usually the RI craiglist comes up. Anyway, about four post down is a listing for the FN143 still in the box and the person selling it is less than 30 minute drive from my door! And they are asking $75 obo. The only draw back is, it's in the box so I will have to put it together, I hate putting stuff together.

I don't miss the race, just the rats.

The one day I don't check my local CL ads :/  Oh well.  I'm happy for you though!!  I'd say putting it together is well worth the hassle.  If you'd want to trade a three level FN for a two level CN...lol

Oops-thought it was the entire three level FN you meant!

I picked it up tonight and it's in really excellent condition. I will put it together tomorrow, just in time to do a cleaning and change of hammies. I am really looking forward to seeing the boys race around this thing. We are still working on them all living together, well the four younger boys anyway. I have a feeling that Coco will be an only rat at some point.  Naughty boy. I am going to try bathing them tomorrow in the hope that the misery of a share bath will bond them. We'll see, fingers crossed. Will post pics when it's all together.

Good luck finishing intros!  I tried the shared bath thing...but all it did was take away their scent-my silly girls didn't mind it!

Wow, I bet you'll have fun decorating a triple FN!  That'll take so many hammock to fill  Shocked 2 heh  I'll have to check the FN threads then since you always do such pretty cages.

Thanks! The seller has a couple of FN still in the boxes, she was planning on doing ferret rescue but has three kids and one on the way and it was to hard because they lost a few ferrets. They came to her with so many health problems and when they died the kids and her were just so upset, so she stopped fostering but still has the FN's, brand new. I told her to contact me if/when she wants to sell them. So I will let you know if that happens.

Aww that was thoughtful of you.  Definately let me know.  I've been wanting to trade my CN or sell it so I can get a FN and make it a triple now that my girls are nice and fat haha. I measured and it will fit my ceilings Smiley  Along with pictures, please let me know how you find cleaning the third level Smiley  I'm guessing you just have to use a step stool unless you are real tall?

That must have been so hard on her-it would bother me that it bothered the kids more than anything Sad

LOL, a step ladder is already in position! I'm 5'3 and the double FN is just a little taller than me, so the triple will be interesting!

$75, it's like brand new.  New they are $99. I have also just ordered two new 141 pans. I don't really like the cut out pans, each cage is separated and the risk of a foot or tail either getting bitten or caught is not worth it. So the new pans should be here by the next cage cleaning.

Wow, that looks awesome-very nice cage!  I looked into it and with shipping the add on is like $126!  So you got a good deal I think Smiley
I didn't realize it was three seperate cages.  Are you getting/did you just get more rats?

I am happy with the price, I probably could have got it for less but you know the seller has three boys and expecting the fourth any day, sooooooo. I was prepared to offer less, then I saw her outside her house waiting for me and I just gave her the asking price.  And right now the cage is separated into three cages with two boys in each section.  I hope that at some point Baby, Bravo, Nibs and Louie will all get along and live happily in there, but for now they only see each other at play time, where they are find for a while and then someone (Baby) will get a little aggressive to Nibbies. I do not plan on getting any new rats for a while, I am very happy with the six I have. And I love this triple FN, saves a lot of space in the room.
