don't know if it's ok to post this or not, if not, my apologies and please delete

anyway the Manchester (NH) animal shelter has two adorable boy ratties for adoption:

http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=15544999

i don't know what they charge for a rat adoption, i've never seen any rats there before, so they may not even have a set fee for them.

aren't they cute!! i should call and see if they need any hammocks for them, they have mostly cats and dogs at this shelter, the occasional rabbit after Easter (grrr!) but rats or other small furries, they rarely get any of those.

i've got all girls so i can't take em, and i'm full up anyway, but if anyone is in the Manchester NH area, and is looking for a couple of sweet looking boys.......

I'm going to let it slide because their age, their need for an immediate home, and because they're at a REAL shelter, and not on Craigslist -- but in general, the person posting the rats in the Adoption Center should be the person currently in possession of the rats (rescues, of course, can select a representative contact, since they foster out a lot).

Thanks. Wink

I think it'd be quite simple for you to get another cage, eh? Grin

LOL i wish, i just got back from the vet, my old girl Raven needed to be seen for a URI that's not clearing up...
$126 later  Undecided

i got 3 cats and 5 rats, and while their food etc is really quite reasonable, when they need medical care, the expenses can skyrocket.
sigh
reality bites!!

i feel so bad for those two boys, and they are so cute! (like i've ever seen a rat i didn't think was cute  Roll Eyes)

i hope someone sees them who has the space for them, i bet the shelter would let them go for free or almost free, just to get them into a home. Sr. pet adoption fees are usually reduced or even waived.  it looks like they are in a very small cage, and the shelter specifically mention them needing exercise.

Hey Petunia,

MRR may be able to take them if they are neutered.  I believe we may have been contacted about them.  Will check with Kim.

done!!

I so hope that they can get out of the shelter. They do a great job taking care of the animals there but it's a small building and they've recently started shipping up dogs from high kill shelters in the south, so they really have their hands full there.
They don't really have the room for a large cage, if one was available for them to use.
They are just the sweetest looking boys, eh?
I wonder how they determine the age on them...
