RIP Amos and Zhen

WWW
« on: April 14, 2003, 01:02:14 AM »

Sometimes at no given time or reason, Amos, gives these little shakes, it is like a little electric shock, and they last for maybe 20-30 secs a even intervals. It doesn't seem to be coming from her chest, the only thing I could think of is hiccups?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it something to be concerned about?
It only happens occasionally but I always worry, she doesn't seem distressed and she's a little sook..

Breathe...In...out..in...out  Smiley
It's totally fine.  I've heard them called coughs to hiccups to mini sneezes.  But they are okay.
My rats do it as they settle down for a long nap or when they wake up from a long shut eye.

Kiwi gets hiccups a lot, which is funny b/c I do too   I think she gets them when she gets really excitied, probably for the same reasons humans get them. They never last very long.
