If you can wait until summer, I'll have a litter of rats in Minneapolis:

Or you can check shelters. The Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley frequently has rats: http://www.ahshc.org

I have a new litter of 9 that's just two weeks old (but I do plan to keep at least one male though) tomorrow.  They were born to a hairless female & a black hairy male, but it's a bit too early yet to tell just what color & hair they'll all turn out to have, though most of them do appear to be dark in color.  Anyhow they're absolutely adorable and if interested let me me know as they should be ready in about 3-4 weeks or so.  BTW where do you live in MN.  I live between Owatonna & Mankato.

I'll let you know as they grow a bit more.  At least 5 of them are males.  Again, the parents both have great personalities.

Hi again Lordy.   Smiley  This is Sue (the person from the Owatonna/Mankato area w/the litter of new baby rats that are a couple of weeks old), originally "ratfan" then "Jagu" & now I may be back to being "ratfan" again due to some problems here registering & such (so sorry for any confusion that this may be causing).  Huh  I tried emailing you privately but had trouble w/that to as well (plus probably w
* jagu having gone w/very little sleep & food over the past couple of days due to my job & stress probably doesn't halp too much either as my brain is more than a bit "foggy" by now I'm afraid!), so sorry this has to be a "public" message here, as I don't know of any other way to get through to you.   Embarrassed  Anyhow I probably won't be online very much if at all over the next several days due to some non-invasive tests (basically for detecting tumors or any other abnormalities, especially since cancer runs in my family) I have scheduled later on this week, as I am quite worried   Worry  & my mind may not be too focused on other things (especially since I've been diagnosed w/having major anxiety & depression over the past few years, for which I'm often very grateful to all of the love & affection from my little "ratties" for often giving me something else to dwell on  Wink), but I will get back to you later on this week or maybe next week, especially if you're still interested!  Or if you can email me too as well -please feel free to, that is if you can "connect" to sending to my email address.  Sorry again to anyone who may be upset w/me for posting all of this on a public forum, but I really couldn't figure out any other way to get in touch w/Lordy.  Well I've G2G now.

Sue

SHAMELESS PLUG...

PLEASE, please, if you really don't care what kind you get, I beg you to consider giving homes to some rescue rats.  Plenty from the AWL rescue are still floating around (Kris and I are getting 15 in shortly; pictures on out website).

Thank you!
