Just a few tips and guidelines regarding the Private Message Function of this forum.

1. When you get a private message notification via e-mail, DO NOT reply to it via e-mail. This only sends your message to the forum admin e-mail address... which is also Suebee's e-mail address. The person who sent you the original PM will NOT get the message, only Suebee.

Please come to the forum and respond to the private message through the private message system ONLY. Thank you.

2. The same rules apply to private messages that apply to the forum and chat room. Profanity, insults and other ground rules violations will NOT be tolerated.

3. Please use private message when you have the urge to post a public thread that may only be relevant to one or two people. Guideline: if you are tempted to use someone's name in the title to get their attention, it may be better to send a private message, instead.

I'm bumping this because we have had some issues of late.

The private message system is NOT to say something privately to someone that you are afraid to say to them in public because of a fear of breaking forum rules. It is NOT to be used to verbally attack people you disagree with.

Just bumping this one again, because it's become clear to me this week that some people are NOT getting it.

THE PRIVATE MESSAGE SYSTEM IS NOT TO BE USED FOR VERBAL ABUSE. PERIOD.

The SAME rules apply to private messages that apply to chat and the forum. If you verbally abuse and attack people via the private message system, use foul language or make threats, and it is reported, you enter into the three-strike system. I have a low level of tolerance for this kind of behavior, and simply will not accept it.
