My rat's eye is getting worse, it is becoming really watery and always has large "eye boogers" in the morning. Anyone know what it is, he has had it for weeks?

awww I'm sorry I don't know what the cause is, but if the 'eye boogers' are the red porphryn, it sounds like stress is involved.  I'd highly recommend a trip to the vet.  You don't want to possibly lose the eye.  Perhaps a simple *HAHAHA* round of antibiotics will clear up the situation.  (sorry, I laugh as it's not always as easy as it sounds to get the antibiotics into our lil furry critters!  They have ideas of their own ...... how dare they!)

Best of luck!!

I would take him to the vet at this point, just to be sure it is not a respiratory illness. A round of antibiotics may clear it up.
