Linsey, Bonnie, etc can you guys help? If not, we might be able to get them transported up to CT...

I am copying and pasting this: contact ksomjen@yahoo.com for more info..
Here's the story...

"My youngest sister works at the North Carolina Raptor Center.  She
often teases me about my boys, being that part of her job is
preparing not-so-lucky rodents to be hawk hors d'oevres.  She loves
animals, though, and when some idiot walked in today with two rats,
she thought it a bit odd.

"I can't keep 'em anymore," says he.  "You guys can feed 'em to the
birds."  And he walks out.  My sister was stunned.  Here are two very
inquisitive little fur faces looking up at her - the first time she'd
seen the pre-frozen version of what she feeds her feathered friends.

Needless to say, she decided that the two would not become dinner for
anyone.  She brought them home, and while she says she'd really like
to keep them, she doesn't think her roommate will go along with it -
so she called big sister the rat lover for help.

Apparently, they're both female - a PEW and what sounds like either
an agouti or a silvered black berkshire.  Very friendly - as Joey's
lifting them up to check gender for me (she hadn't thought to), I
hear her giggle...

"Ooo's got my nosie?" she says.  "Does oo gots my nosie?"

Apparently, one of the girls had decided to show her appreciation of
the rescue by gently clasping her paws to the face of her savior.

Joey does sound in love, but wants to see if she can find a good home
anyway.  A friend will be traveling from Charlotte, NC (where Joey
lives) up to New London, CT sometime soon - didn't say when - but
Joey would love to have someone closer to Charlotte take them.

They do come with a habitat of some sort, I think - I'm assuming
they're in SOMEthing, but I forgot to ask what.

Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem.
