some of you may remember how evil my ratty is. he's always been shy and anti-social, so here's some (HORRIBLE quality) pics of him actually ENJOYING his scritches!!

Yes, I am wearing gloves, and I did get bitten twice. Once when I tried to pick him up, and another time after startling him by sneezing.

You can't see it in these pics, but the tank behind him is the snake tank, and the poor thing is sitting there staring and following Rasputin through the glass.

She's gone into hiding now, though.

Bless his little heart.  What made him so "evil"?  He is a cutie!

He was a pet store rat I rescued (he was "mean" and they couldn't sell him) from who never fully recovered from his anti-socialness. Plus he's has chronic respiratory problems, and that's enough to make anyone cranky.

He seems to be enjoying those scritches.  There may be hope for some ungloved love in the future. Poor thing.  He's been through a lot.

Do you think maybe having the snake so close by could cause your ratty to be so timid...?  Sad
