I have been so excited about my little (Beautiful) rattie girls that I could not wait for my Mom to come by and see them!!!  WELL............

My Hubbie and I have a very nice home and have worked hard for it!  She has always had pets, raised pets, groomed animals and worked for vets.  But her dogs are out of control!  So here she comes with her Bull Dog, and even though I asked her not to HER RAT TERRIER MIX!!!  Lucky I got the dogs out side with my Daisy (Rescue dog - She is my baby!) Anyway!  I show her my girls and am going on about how in Love I am with them and that I wish I could talk my husband in to letting me get a little Blue Dumbo girl  

HERE IS THE BANG:  SHE SAYS, WELL THEY ONLY LIVE A COUPLE YEARS SO AS SOON AS THEY ARE DEAD GET TWO MORE!  

Well, she is my mother, but I decided that she has gone off the deep end!  This from a woman that has 7 cats she never touches!!  She knew I was pretty P*&$D and I told her we were pretty busy; so we go in the back to get her dogs AND THEY HAVE COMPLETELY RIPPED MY GARDEN TO SHREDS!!!  

No "I am sorry", no "let me fix it" no nothing except how cute her rat terrier is!!  ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I had to rant!  Can't kill your own mom! (Hubbie would like to!)

My girls are beautiful and would not trade them for anything!  I just have the GGMR Really bad becuase they are all so awsome!

Maybe just make a "No Dogs Allowed" rule?  I mean, obviously your dog knows how to behave, but if hers don't, they shouldn't be going places....  Too bad you can't make  "No Moms Allowed" rule... hehe

I Tried that!  No luck!  I Love her (Have to??) and it is my own fault for not going over there more often, but her dogs are out of control, and she has all these beautiful cats stuck in a room in her basement.  It is a very nice HUGE cat room, with access to the outside (enclosed) kitty deck.  

But it really made me mad that she assumed becuase my girls are rats they are disposable :huh:

My girls are only about 6 - 8 weeks old and they both are better mannered then either of her dogs!!

she sounds to me like one of those "they're just pets" people.  i know one of those, but for some reason she's really.. she'll choose her dogs over you, at your expense, but she still won't take them to the vet.  you know what i mean?  ugh.
