I'm a llama!

« on: May 21, 2003, 09:12:28 AM »

If you are close to this area, I will give all this away for free. Due to allergies I must find good homes for my three females ratties. One is a PEW that is about 2and a half years old, maybe older. She is in great health and lived alone in a hamster starter cage for most of her life. I rescued her out of the paper. I got her two female friends and she gets along great with them. I want them to stay together. The two young girls are fawn colored, one is a self, and one is a hooded. They are about 4 months old. Going with them is a Martin 695 cage, three feeding dishes, an extra small cage, one hammock, two hanging sleeping bags, one large igloo, one large roll around ball, rat book, food, and some treats. The cage was bought about 3 months ago. Please, do not respond if you have alot of animals you are caring for now. I dont want these girls to be a burden on anyone or to take away from the animals you have now.  If you can do this please let me know. You can contact me at sandyfriese@yahoo.com . Thanks in advance. If you have any questions feel free to email me.  Smiley

We usually recommend charging a fee or requiring a donation to a rat rescue or other charity before placing.. JUST in case someone has not so good intentions for your girls.. especially where they are being adopted out with a large amount of supplies. Undecided  Good luck placing them, you may also want to ask at the veterinarians, sometimes they know either good clients who like rats or the employees themselves are interested.

Well, I have been trying for a month now to find them new homes.  I have tried asking for 50 dollars for them and offering everything for free and still no bites.  Looks to me like it really doesn't make a difference.  I am not going to let them go to just anyone.  That is why I am here on the Rat Fan Club.  I would hope not too many people looking for snake food would be on here.  If someone doesn't know that much about rats, that would be  a little bit of a clue.

I'd love to take them, but I think my husband would kill me.. .    And I'm not sure I fit your criteria anyway, as I already have 13 rats...  Smiley

Well, if you have the funds to care for all of the rats it would be great.  I just didnt want someone to rescue them who couldnt afford to take them on.  That is all I meant.  I have someone who lives here in Gainesville who is interested and is going to email me about them. So keep your fingers crossed!!
