I have nine sweet baby rats who are looking for good homes. They're currently only 12 days old, so they aren't ready to go yet. If anyone is interested in adopting one, though, please do let me know via PM or email (rkrobel@uclink.berkeley.edu). I can arrange for you to see the babies and begin the adoption process. There are 2 capped rats, 3 hooded rats, and 4 berkshires. All of them are charming and extremely cute. Here are some photos; I'll put new ones up as the babies grow.

The babies have opened their eyes now and are looking wonderful. I'm handling them often, and they all seem very sweet. Here are pictures taken Wednesday, May 28:

Cheesy Hey I would love to adopt one please email me at apollo33me@yahoo.com. I use to have a rat named Hudeni and I absolutly loved him. Then I had a rat names Furball which my daughter named. It hav been along time since I have had a rat but I live alone now and would love the company of a baby rat. I find then to be intelligent and vary easy to handle and even tho the landlord does nto allow pets they are vary easy to hide when he is around. I find they usually live to be about 3-4 years of age and wish they lived longer. Please notify me if you still have them.... My name is Wayne  Heart

Kathleen?  Any takers?  I hope so as I cannot bear to think of those gorgeous babies not having the best home they deserve.  I am totally in love with the little one lying on her side in your palm.  I hope you know what an angel you are to these little ones. I'm in Las Vegas...and I ....well that black berk melts my heart too.

They're all doing well and are super-sweet. I seem to have lots more boys than girls -- it looks like 7 boys, 2 girls.

Ratlovinblonde: I'm out in CA...I'm not sure if there's a transport going all the way out there soon...I'll let you know if I hear about one.

Wayne: thanks so much for your interest. Hopefully you'll be able to pick out 2 boys you like on Sunday. Ratty Smiley

Wileys Mom: I bet we could get transport at least partway out there...it isn't too far. Let me know if you're interested!

I'm completely in love with girl 2 as well! She's a sweetie, and soooo cute.  Blue Dumbo Smile

Here are the pics of Boy 7 I promised:

He's sweet, but rather camera shy.

All of the babies are growing up strong and friendly. They're very curious and charming. Almost all are still available...please contact me or post if you're interested.

I have lots of boys left! Drop me a PM or send email to rkrobel@uclink.berkeley.edu. I'm home a lot, so feel free to come see them when you have time. There is an adoption contract and a basic screening, so do keep that in mind.

Okay, just posting an update here...7 babies are still available. 4 are boys, 3 are girls. "Boy 1" above is not a boy! When I checked them carefully to seperate them by sex, it was pretty clear that she was a girl (D'oh! Embarrassed). These are sweet, energetic babies who love to run around, romp, and get back rubs. If you're interested in one, please post here, email me, or send me a PM. I'll post more pictures as soon as I can.

*waves hand* Ooh, ooh!  I'm on the wrong side of the country, but a close friend of mine (not on this board) wants to adopt a couple girls (girl 2 and gender-formerly-known-as-boy 1 *crosses fingers that they're still up for grabs*).  She's emailed and I've PMed, but just to be thorough I'll post here...pleeeeeeeez let me know, these are gonna be my god-rittens!   Blue Dumbo Big Eyes

If anyone's interested, the babies I have left are as follows:

-One silvered black capped with blaze
-Two male black berkshires
-Three black hoodeds, one with headspot (two of these guys might be adopted...I'm waiting to hear from someone)
-One female black berkshire (a real sweetie! I love this girl.)

I'll try to post pics soon, but I'm really busy at the moment.

Just to let everyone know I have already adopted boys 4 and 5  Cheeky and I have had them for a week now. They are vary sweet and they are being well taken kare of and well loved. And just to let you know you can not bribe me with any about of month because I love them to much to let them go.  Heart I have seen her other ratties and they are vary sweet as well and if I could afford the space and the time I would have adopted all of them. But for now I will settle for Chip and Dale.   Wink

Just an update...all of the girls have been reserved. The remaining 3 boys will go down to Southern CA unless someone tells me they want them within the next couple of days. This means that the only foster I'll have left is Rose, the mother rat. She is VERY sweet now that she doesn't have babies to protect, and she's ever so pretty. She's a black berk with a little white streak on her forehead. I'll post pics when I can; if anyone is interested in adopting her they can contact me via email or PM.
