Hi,

I´ve just got the film developed which I took of the rats in our local animal shelter :Pictures!

There were 10-day´s old at the time - I´ve just been there (volunteering) and their eyes are open now.
One of the light-colored-hooded girls will join my four girls and another ritten from a friend, soon  Grin.
I can´t wait!
If I could, I´d take all of them...
Meanwhile I´ll keep visiting them to get them used to human company.

Sorry, no deeper meaning here, I just think they´re so adorable and wanted to share Cheesy.

bye, coati

Coati-Or anybody who knows their rats--
What would you consider the beige? and white one on the top of the heap to the left. I like those color mixes and patterns. Im sure it has a proper name... anybody know?

Tan Hooded.
Thanks Smiley  ! -  I was wondering about that, too.
One of the girls is light and the other dark beige.
The dark beige one is mine  Balloon.

Yes, it´s the first time I´ll know one of my rats from birth- it´s really exciting Smiley .

The only problem is, that I do become so attached to the little Ones (normally I try to keep an "emotional distance" to the shelter animals) that I really worry about them.
I hope they´ll all find good homes ...
I´ve pestered all my friends to take some, and hopefully the two boys will join my friends bucks soon.
I´ll drive the older, dark rat to her new home today Smiley.

bye, coati

The two rats look different. The one is lighter above and then Stine looks much darker. Huh

Could just be a trick of the light, or the photos.  Also, while rats are going from "baby" to "adult" coats, they can change colors a little.  I look at pictures of Tucker as a baby - and he's a lovely dove blue.  Now, he's a dark slate gray.
