My Rats seem to love Dry Dog food which is dried beef, carrot, chicken & veg I give them a small chunk of the beef each day as a treat do you think this is OK? As they seem to love them and when the get a sniff of it when I come near the cage they go nuts and beg for a bit. Which is really quite funny Grin

The right dog food can be fine as a part of their regular diet. I need to ask some detailed questions about the dog food you are using, though:

1. What is the brand name?
2. What are the first ten ingredients?
3. What is the protein content (percent)?
4. What is the fat content?

A lot of us here use Nutro Natural Choice Lite, which is low protein (14%), low fat (6%), and lamb/rice based.
