I may be getting a few pregnant does, and I could use some help. I don't know all the details, but there are at least 2 that are definitely pregnant, and possibly 2 more. All pretty young, some black hooded and some agouti hooded. I was told they're shy but not agressive or anything.

First, if someone can foster some of the mothers that would be really great. If you can foster 1 mother and the babies to come, I'll try to provide the tank, supplies, etc.

If you can adopt the babies, that'll be great too of course. I can start a waiting list for them and keep everyone updated as they get older.

At this point, I'm trying to get the 1 mother that already gave birth the other day. Like I said, there are more but I need to make sure I have room for them first. If you're in NY, NJ, eastern PA, or any other surrounding area and can help, please email me at Crittersnestrescue@hotmail.com

Here's the update. I finally got all the rats, there are 4 females. So far 2 has given birth (11 babies each) and the other two may or may not be pregnant, I can't tell yet. I found foster homes for 2 moms so that's good news, 1 of them in CT the other one in NYC.

So there'll be at least 22 babies for adoption in the near future, probably more. They'll probably be mostly black hooded, agouti hooded, and maybe PEWs (there are some light color ones but I don't know what they're yet). I'll keep you updated as things change, post pictures, etc. If you'd be interested in reserving any of the babies please email me, if you have spare cages to donate (for when the boys need to be separated etc) let me know too. Thanks.

Well I don't need foster homes for the girls anymore, since I already found 2 and 2 of the girls might not even be pregnant *crosses fingers*. One of them I'm sure isn't, the other one I'm waiting to see.

But depending on how many babies are adopted, we may still need help in fostering some of the babies. So Raspberry, if you'd keep in touch with me and tell me your situation etc (how many you're able to take etc, what cages you have, etc) we can see if we can work something out.

Update on the babies. Everyone's doing well, I definitely got black hooded, agouti hooded, and it looks like the light colors might be beige hoodeds. I'll try to get some pictures soon.
