Alright, these two girls are for keeps Wink They are little mink babies, about 5 weeks. The littler one is 45g, the other 58g. The bigger girl has an irish mark on her belly, little one is a self. I think they are mink, that is what I was told. I can't tell from photos I've seen online what color mink should be - these girls are a greyish brown.

Just got them last night and they are SO sweet!!! They love to be held, just sitting in my hand! The little one chilled in my shirt for a while. Then I took some photos and they were very good posers! Smiley Usually when I try to do the one-handed shot my girls squirm to get away or run down my arm, but they were happy to hang out.

Anyway I have no idea what I am going to name them, but here are the shots!

ETA:
Possible names:
Bailey & Kahlua
Emma & Daisy
Mocha & Latte

They are so cute    How old are they?  I'm trying to judge the size of babies and how fast they grow.  I'm not good with names though sorry! Smiley

Your new babies are ADORABLE! They look so sweet. I think you should name them after flowers because it's summertime and they look so sweet and girlie. Daisy, Peony, Tulip, Rose, Buttercup.. something like that! They are only 5 weeks? That's a little early to be pulled from mommy but they seem large enough that they should be okay.

Awww they are super cuties. I  Heart baby dumbo's

As for names I have fallen in love with my sons favorite show "Chowder" on Cartoon Network. All of the characters are named after foods lol ... I have been saying IF i end up adopting anymore I would name them after that show. Some of the names are Chowder, Mung, Shnitzle, Truffle, Panini, and Gorganzolla.  Yellow Cute Laugh

Good Luck with your beautiful new girlies.

Honestly I forget exactly how old, I think they are at least 5 weeks. I thought 5 weeks was when it was time to separate the boys and girls and then it was ok? I trust the person I got them from so I think they are ok.

They are soo tiny though. Compared to the other rats I have, when I got all my other girls they were 125 or so, not 45! They'll plump up fast though I'm sure lol.

Aww, they are adorable!  Heart *steals*

Umm... ok, Dolce (sweet in italian =D  pronounced dole-chey) Carina (something along the lines of sweet, cute, beautiful, honey in italian) , Puff, Storm, Macha, Kaly, Lulu... none of those are very good; of the ones suggested I put in a vote for Mocha, Latte, Chowder, Truffle, Buttercup, Daisy...  good luck finding the perfect names for your darlings. I got mine at five weeks as well. <3

You don't have to worry about naming them.

Why? You ask...

Because they are GONE...I am absconding with them to parts unknown...they will NEVER return!

Oh, okay...

They're beautiful! I vote for Mocha and Latte  Smiley

They are AMAZING. I absolutely love these rats. It is such an amazing difference when you get a rat raised personally by someone who cares, vs. a pet shop rat. I love my other girls with all my heart, but it took them all a while to like me. These girls just come and sit in my shirt, brux for me, and are so calm and gentle. They still have that baby popcorn energy but during the day they'll sit on my lap or shoulder, so sweet.

I weighed them today - what a difference! The bigger girl with the Irish marking (Bailey's Irish Creme - aka Bailey) is up to 74 g! The little one who I have named Kahlua is at 58 g.

I'll post some more photos soon!

They are sweet little things. Im surprised at someone letting them go at five weeks. I always get my kids at 6 weeks or so. Its amazing what an extra week can do for weight and socializing. Then again, looks like your girls are doing fine on both counts...VERY SWEET Smiley
