Monkeyface aka Ashe :)

« on: July 05, 2008, 11:46:10 AM »

Yet again I am at the vet’s on a Saturday morning, but this one was pre-planned.  My poor Teya’s head tumour was worsening so this week I put her on metacam, and decided to let her go with dignity today.  I just got back.

Teya was one of my Original Wildlings.  I had her mom Rennie, and Teya , Beni and Ortiz here as wee babes.  She was always sooo timid and frightened and definitely showed the Wild characteristics.  Never once would she bite, even when frightened. She would curl down and let her teeth touch my hand, but more as an entreaty then a threat.

Its only in the last few months that she has become “friendly” and I loved every moment of it.  I actually saw her bruxxing and boggling when I was talking to her…  Heart

I had regrets a few times with having my Wildlings.  They have been Interesting to say the least, the escapes, the bites, the regrets, the guilt, etc.  But I learned a LOT from my wee ‘gouti’s and are very sad that they are all leaving so fast.

We’ll just say that she is somewhere in that scrum of young Rennie feeding

And in this group too

Here is the pic of Teya that started up the discussion of her being ½ wild.

Holding’s not so bad now, as she ages

I think its Teya on the right (L to R – Nissa, Faerdae, Laila, Kara and Teya)

My poor little Teyasaurus   Puppy Dog Eyes:

She is now with Ortiz, Beni and Kara…I see them bounding through tall grass, happy as can be.   Grin

I'm so sorry for your loss Cry We just lost one of ours this morning, as well. {{hug}} They've probably met at the bridge, and are playing together, tumor (and illness)-free.

shelagh, this aging ratting thing is so hard.  she's so pretty and i'm glad she went mushy and boggled for you.  mine always seem to get more affectionate as the time grown near.
teya play hard at the bridge and know that you were well-loved.

Shelagh, I'm so sorry about Teya. The wildlings have certainly given you a wild ride during their lifetimes. I'm so glad you were able to give Rennie and the babies a home. I'm sure Teya is telling wild stories at the bridge about her wonderful life with you.

I'm so very sorry Shelagh (((HUGE HUGS))) You've been going through so much recently. Just know that there's no end, they're just a thought away, always close by wondering why we get so upset.
