Mainely Rat Rescue is having a Precious Pink Eyed Rat-a-Palooza promotion featuring our favorite pink eyed ratties available for adoption.  This includes all PEWs, Himalayans and champagnes!  We are trying to draw attention to the beauty (both inside and out) of these very special, but often overlooked rats.

For the month of August, the adoption fees will be waived for all pink eyed rats in our care, including babies, neutered males and spayed females.  If the pink eyed rat has a dark eyed companion the adoption fee for the second rat will also be waived! 

NY Daisy has graciously offered to do a transport from Falmouth, Maine to Rochester, NY on Monday, August 11th.  Her route from NY to Maine is:

Buttercup is a mellow, calm girl while her sister Harlow is a fun loving live wire!

Santana is a lap rat while Minka is busy and curious!

The Precious Pink Eyed Rat-a-palooza is a great idea! We have 3 pink eyed boys total in our home!

I love my little Himi and his brother that I am fostering (soon adopting from MRR)! They are the sweetest boys!  And sons of the himi girls that are waiting to be adopted.  Great personalities run in families  Grin

I changed the above link to this!  Just reverse the route from Falmouth, ME to Rochester, NY.   THANK YOU!

William and Benji have been through the wringer as far as waffling through the foster care system. Hopefully in their last foster home now, the young boys (dob mid April 2008) anxiously wait for their forever family to find them!



Both boys are neutered, very bonded to one another and are currently going through forced socializing to help strengthen their rat to human bond.

Though they hate coming out of their cage right now, they love interacting with hands from within the safety of their wire home often nibbling gently on a closed fist. Once out of the cage and safely on a bed or sofa, the boys become busy exploring and quickly forget about their fears.

Still a work in progress, Sweet William and Creeping Benjamin need a patient and understanding family who will give them time to let their personalities grow and bloom.

WILLIAM AND BENJI ARE IN A WONDERFUL NEW FOSTER HOME WHO IS HOPING TO MAKE THEM A PERMANENT PART OF THEIR FAMILY!

THE CLOCK IS TICKING for our AWESOME AUGUST PROMOTION! 

We still have some amazing pink eyed pairs/groups available for adoption.  If you have an approved application on file by THIS Sunday, we will honor the waived adoption fee for any rats in our care!  We do accept donations, of course, and donations of cash, gas cards, aspen shavings, Carefresh, Yesterday's News, cage accessories, etc. are more than welcome!

If you are in Maine, NH or Mass. we have a pair of cutie petooties still available for adoption!!  Take a new look at Kelis and Sasha.  I know these two personally and they are just too sweet!  Very outgoing, social and loveable, these baby girls will be a great addition to any family! 



We also have the handsome group of guys available the four Bible Boys who are being fostered in Massachussets.  They are doing very well in their new foster home!    New pictures soon, they are Matthew (black hoodie) and Mark, Luke and John (Himalayans).  These very special boys have all been neutered!

Yeah - Tom and Huck have been reserved for a while but I just got my tutorial on the MRR website yesterday to list them that way - haha!

I told their adopter that it is a good thing she's taking them otherwise I'd already be a foster failure! haha!!

I ended up filling out the app for the Dumbomint twins   They weren't part of the PEW but very cute anyway!  Can't wait to get them.  Hopefully on Thursday.  Thanks for your help!
