Well I've always wanted the FN for my ratties but alas funds just did not allow for that. I was only able to adore everyones great pictures on here. Well one day I showed my fiancee what these guys were like through some of the pictures members have posted. He was curious but wondered what the actual size was like in person. A couple weeks ago we went into a petsupermarket store and they had it on display. He actually spotted it before I did. lol So he started playing with the doors. The first thing out of his mouth was "sweet, we so need these cages". So now when he gets his overflow from his financial aid he is saying he is going to get me 2 FN's (and the supplies to mod the girls one) Hyper Hyper Hyper. He says now that I am pregnant and all we will need something much easier to clean and less time consuming. As when the baby comes time will be limited. My 2 r-695's and two other cages (I think one may be a 690 I got it second hand and its not coated. The other is that all living things white cage some people had, I got secondhand and its in soso shape anymore) take quite of bit of time to clean.

We have 18 ratties currently, 11 females and 7 males. So the girls would get a whole FN as they all get along just fine. The boys FN however I would have 3 on top and 4 on the bottom (or vice versa). My 3 special boys have never lived with anyone else and I don't want to change that. Plus they will be 2 in October and I don't want them hurt as they are very close to my heart. We used to have more of an even colony but we have lost some of our boys lately.

So anyways, Do you think the FN's will work for our situation???

That does sound like 2 consolodated cages would make everything easier on you! You can always sell the other cages (maybe keep a couple for emergencies) to help pay for new accesories or to the "cage fund". I couldn't imagine cleaning all those cages out all the time...I have my R-695 and thats enough!

I have had Martins cages, and the FN makes cleaning fun  Yellow Cute Laugh
Well as fun as it can be. Decorating is certainly fun! But honestly, the comparison in the time and ease of cleaning is amazing. The FN's double doors, and solid flooring, plus the bigger wire spacing (even with mesh on it isn't too bad) is just amazing for cleaning. I wipe down the frame and shelves weekly and change out the liners and hammocks and litter and such, and its fine. I used to have to hose down my martins, but I RARELY have to really clean the FN. Probably because it is so much easier to spot clean.
I think it is right for EVERYONE! The ONLY issue I have with it is that my boys get their food and some poos on the floor, because the pans are flat and the bars are wide.
