Eeebee and her new friends - need someone young to bond deeply to Eeebee

On Thursday when I got home from work at 6:30pm, I put Eeebee, Coda and Cado on the couch together until midnight. Not one squeak. Totally awesome! We then put them into our bedroom, free range but with two open ferret cages in there. Eeebee spent all night underneath the night table, something she had never done before. Coda and Cado were in the big cage together. Eeebee is just heartbroken that Benji is not with her anymore. Her old companion passed away this week and she has been very sad ever since. On Friday morning, we lifted up the night table and got her out. I placed her into the cage where she spent the rest of the day sleeping in a hammock, Cado in another hammock and Coda in the other, all on the same level. In the late afternoon, I found Coda curled up with Eeebee in one hammock. So sweet! Coda is so sweet and gentle with all other rats, she is truly amazing! This morning, Eeebee and Coda were in a little scruffle but nothing major.
While I think Eeebee is very sad and misses Benji very much, I also know that this is good for her. I cannot let her sink into sadness and depression. Something is missing though in this dynamic. Eeebee has no one to take care of anymore. She is a great caretaker and my husband and I feel that she is somewhat lost.
I am thinking about adding Farfalla (the older girl with the very large tumor on her neck, the girl I have just adopted from the shelter last week) and J.J.SeifeKuh (her baby companion who we also call Rocket because she is so fast). These two are very sweet girls! J.J. wants to play and run all day, that would give my oldies some exercise. I also think that J.J. is looking for guidance and someone she can hang onto. Farfalla is her current cagemate but she cannot keep up with J.J.
I don't know. I'm just writing down my thoughts. J.J. would eventually live out Eeebee too. Coda and Cado are around 2.5, Eeebee is around... I don't know... 1.5? 1? Maybe only 1 year old. I need to bond Eeebee to someone who will be with us for a long time. Uploading pictures now...
EDITED: I have just found Eeebee and Cado asleep in one big hammock.
She really needs them to comfort her.

Knowing how big Cado is in person makes me realize how HUGE Eeebee is! I think adding the two new kids will be a good idea.

Yes, Eeebee is huge and so is Cado. They are both getting a lot of exercise in the room so there is hope they will lose weight.
Well, we tried adding Farfalla and J.J. aka Rocket but it's not working for now. J.J. is ok with anyone and so is Coda but Farfalla with her large lump cannot defend herself and Eeebee was very stressed when she saw J.J.. We are rushing into things. Eeebee and Coda are best of friends and so are Eeebee and Cado. They cuddle with each other (haven't seen teh three together yet but each one with Eeebee, yes). As long as Farfalla is alive, we won't introduce J.J..
Also, I have discovered a lump on Coda. It's very small and it feels like a fatty lump but it's there.
So, yeah, all is good for now. Eeebee has Coda and Cado. They are about 1 year older than she is but I won't stress out about things for now. I need to focus more on the now. Eeebee has companions. It's all good.

Aww I am glad she's accepting these guys, at least a little bit. I bet it won't be long until she's smitten and happy again.
