Please someone help me find a vet in the Toledo, Holland, Sylvania or Maumee Ohio area. No one seems to want to treat the little guys around me... try to PM me if you can.

Sorry, saw that the vet thread was locked and wanted to ensure that there was a vet listed in my local area for the rattie lovers here not to have to make a pretty extensive drive. Hope it helps!  Blue Dumbo Smile

Dr. Watson is great with my little guys.  Very friendly and a fantastic bedside manner. He was very reassuring to me as a new rattie lover, and the vet techs there are all wonderful (although I often have to steal my ratties back from them since they love them so much).  I have not worked with Dr. Ladell, however, I understand she also has quite a bit of small animal experience, and is the resident exotics vet on the team. They are a little pricey, $65 just for an exam, but very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!!!

I have listed our Dr. King in the St. Louis/IL  area at the Watson Road Veterinary Clinic times (tried), but it never gets posted Sad
Does someone on the web board disapprove of him for some reason?Huh He travels all over the world giving papers and helping animals and keeps the prices low for the ratties so people will care for them.   Sherry (vibrissa)

I'm glad you posted Watson Road Animal Hospital... though it's 45 mins from me, I'll definitely check in to it. Thanks. Smiley

Virginia Beach, VA (not sure how to add- so here's another one!)

Pet Care Veterinary Hospital
5201 - A Virginia Beach Blvd
Virginia Beach, VA 23462
757-473-0111

Specializes in small animals. Great staff. Even better prices for scheduled appts and meds needed. My typical appt for doxy and baytril (with extra in case needed), a once over with the vet was about $85. Surgeries are a little pricey ($300/rat neuter), but very well trained staff. Office is a little small, but clean and fairly new. Limited parking. Dr. Fox is amazing. I have been taking my guys to them for URIs, lacerations, skin issues, etc. They are a registered dealer of oxbow items (much cheaper than online and most stores locally). AAHA accredited.
