The Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley just got in a family of ratties.  Consists of 2 year old Mom (Eleanor) and her three 1 year old daughters (Trixie, Minnie and Lucy).  You can see their pictures at

From the pictures it looks like these girls are calm and accustomed to being handled.  The reason given for them ending up at the humane society is "resident pet doesn't like them."  

These ratties caught my eye because Mom is creeping up there into elderly rattie age and her daughters are well into middle age.  All four have lived together since the girls were born, I'd hate to see them split up now.  If anybody is interested in adopting a ready made rat family - or knows of somebody else that might, please consider welcoming Eleanor, Trixie, Minnie and Lucy into your home.
