So, I do not have a sewing machine and only limited abilities with hand stitching.   I did manage to make a 29" snuggle tub for my rats for $1, and it turned out pretty well.   Was able to keep all my stitches hidden, but its nothing gorgeous!!  But, my girls love it.

(I used a baby blanket from the dollar tree.  It had a loose stitching around the edges, I took that off, and used the ribbon that was the blanket was wrapped in for hangers.   I attached it to the cage with zipties)

I have a wide fleece scarf also from the dollar tree, I want to make another bed for them.  Thinking maybe a snuggle cube, triangle thing, or something else?  I'd make some spare hammocks but I don't have $$ for grommet pliers right now.

Does anyone know any places that I can look online for pattern suggestions, or ideas on what I can make?

Don't have the $$$ to buy them premades right now, and want to make the most with what I have!!!  (I made wood chew toys for them, and dy beed the beads myself, in the microwave w/ food coloring!!)

I cant find where I put the site right now, maybe another reader has it, but there is a site to make no sew fleece things, I think for sugar gliders.  but I, along with several other people on here use them for their ratties.  its all clipping and tying, like the new sew fleece blankets for people. Type in New sew sugar glider cage accessories, you may find it yourself.
if no one else finds it, after Christmas is over, I will sit and find it.
Good luck

I just wanted to mention -- you don't need grommet pliers to put in grommets.  You can buy a back of eyelets / grommets that come with a "hammer and anvil" (I think they cost $7ish at my JoAnn's to buy with the hammer and anvil) and then just follow the instructions on the back of the packet to install them with a regular household hammer.

My mom and I just made a cube yesterday, it turned out alright but neither of us are excellent sewers and the sewing machine is ancient! It took 2.5 hours too!  I made a pocket hammock after that with the extra fabric and it was soooo much easier... I need a grommet thing, too before I can hang it.. The corner ones look pretty easy to make!
