So, my husband finally wore out a pair of his combat boots.I've been waiting and so excited,because the rats love to play in them during free range!And,as you may know,my boys are very macho little men,and love their Army themed cage!

Here is their barracks:


One of their favorite things,their booney hat swing.


Their ammo bag hidey pockets(Cyclone Jacks sleeping spot),and berret(Cairo's favorite).My husband even gave them his medals that he's gotten for his service so far!The one in this pic is his Army Commendation Medal that he recieved for "heroism above and beyond the call of duty" in Iraq.Now,that's a sweet rattie daddy,right?!


The boots!They've even been to Iraq!


And finally,Domino and Hurley's very favorite sleeping spot,the Kevlar Combat Helmet.I wish I could get a picture of them in it,because it's so cute with their little heads sticking out!It looks like they're wearing a big hat!


Also in their cage is their little tunnels I made out of Hubby's old ACU pants,and their patrol hat that they really don't ever use,but looks cute.Oh,yeah,and of course their litter box,water bottle, and food!They are very lucky boys!And,they never chew or tear up any of their nice things,either!My girls,on the other hand have all thrift store stuff in their cage,as they chew!Naughty little girls!Thank you Gary for all the stuff!

Thank yall so much!I really love it,too!AndI love that parts of it are meaningfull,like the medals and boots.My husband acts like he doesn't like the rats,but he always gives me cool stuff for them.I know he loves them.Just not their goolies,wich freak him out.

My boys love the cage because they don't like hammocks.I've found some really cool alternatives,like the pockets,wich they love!And,some of the pockets are really easy to make,I just cut them out ot his pants,and then put a couple of safety pins on to attach them to the cage!Same with the tunnels-they're his pants legs.I hoped that this would give some of yall some cool,cheap and creative ideas!

They can look a bit perverted sometimes. Maybe we should make little rattie trousers for them, wouldn't that be cute!
I only have one male, and he sacrificed his man bits so he could live with 5 beautiful females.

That's one of the coolest cage decorations I've seen in a long time! That is super cool. The most army stuff I have is a camo print hammock!

I adore your new cage decor!  So creative!  I never would've thought of doing that!  Every time I look at the picture I notice something else.  The medals are a nice touch.
