Rocco was a very special ratty boy.
He was very stubborn, and a strong fighter. When i first got him a year and 5 months ago he was said to be 6mo but he was definitly older than the 6mo boys i had. He was also very aggressive and was a lone rat his whole life. The first couple of hours i had him he took a nice bite at one of my fingers. I was a little nervouse around him for a while but i knew i had to at least show him a little love since his past wasn't so good. After 6mo and alot of bites he was starting to relax and out of no where became a totally different ratty. He was kissy boy and became a big ol' squish and after the passing of Mr.Jones i finally decided it was worth a try to see if he got along with Ludo, and he did. It was a piece of cake and they became best buds. In march i got a female for my bday so i had Rocco nuetered. He had also developed a tumor and i had that removed as well. He was such a trooper threw it all. The Vet said the tumor could grow back, but most likely not internally. Well i guess the odds were against him because it grew back right near his lungs which i found out today. It happened fast Ludo passed away 8/15/08 and then Rocco's health went downhill. I knew he was an old man and probably close to 3yrs old. Rocco started to lose mobility in his back end, and then stoped eating solid food a week ago, i was hand feeding him yogurt and baby food. He just kept holding on and i could see he was very tired but he still fought until the end. I had him put to sleep this morning, even with meds the likelyhood of him getting better would be slim. I knew it was best for him to be at peace.

My little stubborn fighter

I'm going to miss my ol' man.  Cry

Thank you.

I just can't believe all my boys are gone. They were my very first trio of ratties.
I still have my 3 girls. but i really miss having boys around.

I'm sorry :-(. He looks like he was a rat with a lot of personality.
