OH BABY, do we have babies!!  Sweet, social and ready to go home.   Ratty Smiley  Check them out!

We have New York babies being fostered in New York, Mass. and Maine.   These black and beige hooded boys are proving to be real sweethearts.

4 Sox and a Yank are being loved up in Maine!  The 4 Boston Red Sox boys came from the 30 plus babies in NY and Xavier (NY Yankee's left fielder) came from an unplanned litter in MA!  How’s that for irony?!

The 5 boys have been living together in harmony but are not required to be adopted together. The smaller Sox boys were born on July 21st (Jacoby and Coco) and the larger Sox boys on July 15th (Papi and Dustin).  The one Yankee (Xavier) was born July 7, 2008.

Jacoby - cute and curious

Coco - energetic and playful

Dustin - total sweetie pie, first to climb up your arm to say hello!

JACOBY, COCO AND DUSTIN ARE RESERVED FOR TAMARA G. OF RHODE ISLAND!

Papi - happy to be with you and be held!

RESERVED FOR Christina V. of CONNECTICUT.

and last but not least, Xavier, the Yankee, my personal favorite!  He is a total love man, very outgoing, a great shoulder rat.

***Xavier ADOPTED BY Laurel L. of Great Barrington, MA!***

***********************************************************
Introducing Ralph and Norton - the remaining two of Net-Net's Nestlings!!  Have you ever seen anything cuter?
Norton and Ralph - Best Buddies (dob 08/14/08)

Like their namesakes on The Honeymooners, Ralph and Norton are as different as can be - but still the best of buddies, banding together in the face of uncertainty. That big ol’ cat back there doesn’t frighten them, so long as they have each other!  They are a cuddly pair who must go home together.

This picture shows the difference in their eye colors well - that’s dark-eyed Norton on the left, and pink-eyed Ralph on the right.  Norton is the beige Irish with a smooth coat, Ralph is the beige self with a rexy coat.

What's up?

***RALPH AND NORTON HAVE BEEN ADOPTED BY FOR AMANDA C. OF NH***
*******************
School girls Jade 9 (dob 7/18/08) is a black Irish berkshire with a rex coat and Sangria (dob 7/07/08) is a black varieberk with a smooth coat.  They are being fostered in NH are more than ready to go home!

According to her foster family, Jade is very outgoing, snuggly, silly, playful, adventurous, curious, energetic, kissy and affectionate!  Her favorite foods are fruits and greens.  She loves the hammock.

***JADE HAS BEEN ADOPTED BY SUSAN S. OF MAINE and has been reuinted with her previously adopted sister Opal!***[

Sangria is shy and submissive but also snuggly, playful, curious, energetic, and affectionate.  She would prefer to snuggle inside a shirt, and relies on her outgoing “sister” Jade to pull her out to play!

***SANGRIA IS RESERVED FOR KATE C. OF MASS. and will be going to live with her previously adopted sister Margarita!***

Both girls reportedly love their shoulder rides and snuggling inside shirts.  They also use the litterbox!  They have been around both dogs and young children.  Love their free range time and spray mist baths.

Foster Mom says this pair is exceptionally easy to care for.  They both are extremely friendly and playful.  Would be perfect for a first time rat owner!

Remember transportation by Mainely Rat Rescue can usually be arranged!  These babies are eligible for our discounted spay/neuter option.  Contact Kim at adopt@mainelyratrescue.org for more information on adopting these sweet little ones!

I'm the foster mom for Ralph and Norton, two brothers mentioned in the original post at the start of this thread. I just wanted to add that I have never seen such a sweet pair of brothers!

Both of them love to be held and have their heads skritched. Ralph is a cuddle bug, when you open the door he'll come right out to you and climb up for a snuggle. He likes to tuck himself under your chin. Norton joins him, but loves to climb all over exploring.

A favorite game is tickle chase. Tickle them, and they dash away - but come right back and put themselves under your wiggling fingers. They like it when I grab some bedding and toss it up in the air, too.

These boys are now six weeks old, strong, healthy, and happy. Ralph's colors have become more distinct, and he's turned out to have a white stripe on his chest, too! Overall, they're a handsome pair.

ETA: I accidentally aged the boys above! They actually won't be 6 weeks old until this Thursday, the 25th. Oops!

Foster mom for the boys in Albany here. It's really late so I'll make this brief.

Here's Roland, he's very calm but confident. Very obsessed with human grooming.

Next is Cuthbert, who is hyper and loves to wrestle. He's very outgoing and active.

And finally we have Alain. He's very active but a little shy. I actually had to hold him because he wouldn't sit still for the photo.

If anyone is interested in adopting any MRR babies (or adults) I am traveling from Maine to Keene, NH next Saturday the 4th.  Staying in a hotel with my family , hoping to arrive in Keene by 2. (Going to a wedding at 4)  So if anyone is interested, they would need to be able to meet me there on Saturday as I don't believe rats are allowed in the hotel.   Roll Eyes
