Congratulations to you and beautiful Bat!  Those are some lovely little ones!  I can't wait to see them get a bit bigger!  Smiley

This might sound absolutely silly, but just out of curiosity, would it be inconvenient/out of the question to be placed on the waiting list even if I cannot house rats at this time, but will be able to at another?

Hi Carrot,
It's never too early to put your application in.  Obviously as your situation changes you can keep me updated on what changes, so I know if and when pups will fit into your life.  You would not be the first to be placed on the list 2 years in advance  Wink

awww what a cutie!
My mom would looovvveeee a tailess rat, haha. She won't let me have anymore, because she doesn't like their tails (which is probably just as well, otherwise my room would be filled...there's so many poor ratties that people have up for "sale" for free in my area Sad

Julie,
I'm about 3 hours or so from CT.  However, depending on the time of year I'm often visiting CT, as my family is all in New Haven.  My mother is used to having Rat folks drop in to come pick their pups up.

That's great.  I live just outside Hartford so driving to New Haven isn't too bad.  If you have any not spoken for,  I have room for one or two Yellow Cute Laugh  Tongue
No Julie, NO! Just because you have a new FN doesnt mean you have to fill it!  Wink

Bear in mind, I drive from the Philly area (Exton) to CT regularly and can do transport.  My daughter attends U. Conn.

Whisker Count!  4 Rex and 3 Standard.  Hamsterbutt is a Rex.  Bat is so into feeding these guys that they are not as loud as many other litters!  They have no need to be demanding as she's on them ALL the time!   They were born LARGE and they continue to grow increasingly chubby!

My husband works at UCONN.  It is only 20 minutes from here!  That would work Hyper

Bat is truly an excellent Mom.  When I come to "bother" her, she works for about 2 minutes covering her babies and fluffing her nest before she'll come to the cage door for scratches!  Here are a trio of photos of the crew at 3 days!

Hi everyone!  I'm back from a trip to CT (and yes, all the pups and moms went too) and have new photos of everyone!  As some of you might know, it takes a great deal of time for DU markings to start to show on the lighter colors, so this litter is going to keep me guessing for a while.  We do however have 2 DU boys for sure right now!  Everyone is doing great and I love the rainbow of colors that appeared in this pairing!

Oh my gosh... that manx baby.  Heart I love his coloring. He is beautiful. And no tail to boot. AND a rex. He is going to be freakin' even more adorable when he grows up (although I'm not sure that's possible, as he's so darn cute now). I am so totally in love with him. My fiance said, wow, too bad he's not available... I'd let you have another rat, he's awesome. Just my luck hehehe Blue Dumbo Big Eyes

Bat's pups are 15 days old!  I can't believe they already have opened their eyes and are moving around so quickly! Bat continues to be an incredibly watchful momma - she is always wondering where I take her pups when they are out for social time or photos!

Here is the squinty eyed introduction to the crew!
