Hi Stacey,

I too live in Akron Oh and took 3 female rats very recently out of a less than ideal situation that need a new home. They are very sociable and extremely outgoing, they were just kept in a tiny cage. I upgraded to a large Martin's (690 or 695) cage and they come with it, about 10 - 5lb bags of Harlan Teklad, and everything else in the cage. I took them with the intention of finding them a good home. They were born earlier this year, don't know when. But for the lack of care they received all three are incredibly sweet and have never bitten once.

New cage vs. old cage (on top). They have since torn down the hammock and ripped apart the fish Smiley

I haven't kept rats in years and really can't due to my husband's severe allergies but they desperately needed a home. I get the Teklad from work too, so I pretty much have a never ending supply of it. Thanks and let me know if you are interested

If I could get $40 for it all, I would be happy with that. And do you want the second cage for backup/transporting the ratties as well? I'm just going to throw it away if no one wants it. And yes, I could easily drive halfway to Youngstown. I've driven out there countless times before for past work related business.

thats not a bad adoption fee at all! I just need to see if my paycheck will allow it i had to miss a lot of work this past pay period due to car problems and the check will be small. i will let you know on friday i defently could use the extra cage as well. it would be perfect for my suspected prego female to be in.

Take your time. Right now they are in a room free of being near my husband so we're ok for now. I also figured you could use the extra cage with the new rats you may end up with  Wink If you need to I can wait a couple of weeks. Thanks!
