And I just posted a show off thread here and now I have to come back with heart breaking news.

Tuesday night Max started not using his back legs properly to support himself. Then on Wednesday he totally lost function in them. This morning I woke up to find him sitting in a small pool of blood coming from his urethra. I rushed him to the vets this morning and did not leave with happy news. Apparently there was some sort of cartilage blood clot that caused loss of feeling in his lower half which explained the paralysis. Because of this he also loss the ability to feel the need to pee so his bladder backed up and ruptured which caused the bleeding. There was nothing left to be done so I chose to put him down this morning as he seemed in a lot of pain.

I had almost had him a year and he was ~1.5years old. He will be greatly missed. He leaves behind 2 brothers, Kingsley & Tendrick, and friend Romulus

I'm so sorry you lost your boy.  I just lost one of mine last month, and even though it still hurts, time does heal.  *hugs* for you and scritches and treats for the rest of your crew.

I'm very sorry for your loss.  Go spend extra time with your remaining ratties. That always makes me feel better.
