Advice on Hedgehog Skin?
« on: July 01, 2016, 06:39:44 PM »
So I've got myself a little new hedgepig...His name is Spriggan, and he's adorable, but I feel like his skin is a little too dry for him...I have some coconut oil, as well as jojoba oil...could I just put some drops of that on him? I've also got spray olive oil too if that might help get better coverage.
(I promise I wouldn't cook him after, hehe).
Anyone know if these are things that would be ok/useful?

Aveeno moisturiser is very good for hedgehog skin if you have that brand. Olive oil is also good and if you can get some, a couple of drops of flax seed oil in his food will internally help his dry skin.
Hedgehogs are naturally dry skinned though so don't go overboard trying to get baby's bottom smooth!
