Got the treats! :cookie: The girls love them, even the ones that hate most other treats... must be the Peanut Butter Crunch-like smell. But yeah, definitely a fine treat and I'll have to order more soon.

Oh.... I personally love peanut butter, so I had to try one.... definitely needs sugar for human treats.

ooo My girlies looove the sweet green peas and carrots!! I bet they would love these too! About how long are they good for before they spoil? Where should one store them to keep them the longest? *I'm seriously considering some  ;) *

Post by: crazydaisy on January 11, 2010, 12:47:03 AM
As long as I've been making these I have yet to see them go bad & I've kept them for many months. I usually keep them in a sealed container in the rat room. So I would suggest doing that instead of using the bags I sent them in if you want to store them :) I can put them in 16oz new containers for $1 each if you like. These are super strong sealing so you shouldn't have a problem. You would need probably 2 containers to fit a lb in. I'm not a stickler on the amount either I always give you extra rat yummies :)

These treats are FANTASTIC.  I got mine last week (gah, I should have posted earlier) and ALL 11 of my ratties love them.  I've even been contemplating trying one because they smell so good.  They're the perfect size for little ratties to hold, even my 2 month old baby, Holly can manage them.  My boogerbutts just go crazy for them.  And they arrived in no time at all and in perfect condition.  I'm going to order more tomorrow.

Really, you can't go wrong ordering these, they're great.

Sorry about your little guy.  Same as everyone else when you're ready again.
My mom keeps complaining I don't have enough treats that she can sneak to my boys.  It's bad enough our dogs are jealous over them getting milkbones and nylabones.  If they smell these...oh boy XD.

Hi,

Received my order on Saturday. My boys say THANK YOU!! My one little girl immediately stashed hers so I do not know if she ate it or one of her boys did. It was the honey flavored and they all promptly chowed down. There are so many flavors and though I am itching to try them all, my squishes need to get them sparingly! Thank you for separating each flavor for me. They are definitely a big hit here.  ;D

Do you have any pictures of the heart shaped biscuits? And will they suffer any if I have chia and flax seed mix ins? As in, they won't crumble or anything?
Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: crazydaisy on March 08, 2010, 09:58:16 AM
I haven't had them crumble at all so they should be ok :) I'll try and get some pics of the hearts soon.

BTW thanks for everyone being patient with me I hurt my back pretty bad so hubby is helping me get caught up :)

Would it be possible to mix dog and rat treats. Though my dogs would probably be just fine with ratty sized ones since they are small themselves. I would love to make an order if you are still baking these!
Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: andie3131 on May 26, 2010, 10:11:14 PM
I have to admit, my dogs give me that Look when I give the ratties treats so I've given them a rat treat or two.  They LOVE them as well and all 3 range from Med/Large, Large and XXL, they don't care that there small hahaha
Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: crazydaisy on May 27, 2010, 06:35:57 PM
Mixing them would be fine :) I can make the dog treats just like the rat ones, but they will be  1" in diameter. I also have hearts and I have a new rat/mouse cookie cutter. They are about 1.5" long and super cute lol.

Very funny andi lol. My bunnies do the same thing & give that look of "why can't I have rat treats" LOL

Time for another order. My girls can't enough of these treats. I actually got them trained to line up to get their treats, I was never able to do this with other treats, like yoggies.
Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: crazydaisy on June 01, 2010, 08:22:19 AM
That is too funny lol. I keep a little container of treats on the girls cage and they climb up the wire and nudge the treat container all the time lol.
Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: LOTR_Ratties on June 01, 2010, 10:00:45 AM
Got my treats, and WOW! Of course Gollum gobbles them up, as he does most treats I give him, but my girls are soooo picky, I don't know that they have ever liked a single treat I have tried to give them. But I offered them each one of your treats, and all 3 of them practically ripped them out of my hand, and inhaled them!! Honey liked them so much, she finished hers at record speed, and then stole the rest of Lucy's treat and ran away, hahaha. I am amazed. So thank you girl, your treats rock!!

Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: Vallis on October 21, 2010, 01:51:36 PM
They are crunchy and they stay for some time. My last two batches lasted 5 months before their smell changed somewhat, but my girls hardly minded. They freeze well and thaw quickly.

I would love to place an order - But I have a question

The add in's .... How do you choose?? :yelcutelaugh:

Quote
Mix in's: Cocoa Powder (rats only), Garlic, Turmeric, Organic Ginger, Cinnamon, Oatmeal,Organic Chia Seeds & Flax Seed.  You can choose up to 2 Mix in's after that it's .25 per Mix in each.

Like what do rats like? / make them healthy

So... my question is.... What do you recommend crazydaisy?
Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: Robinkwr on October 21, 2010, 03:46:23 PM
ooh, 1 more question

If I were to get two 4oz bags, one bag a flavor and the other one a different flavor... how much would that be with shipping? (is shipping going to change?)

thanks!

Title: Re: Homemade Rat Treats!
Post by: crazydaisy on October 21, 2010, 04:07:50 PM
Oh my gosh they like everything lol. it's really hard to choose. All the mixin's have some little benefit in them really. Flax for the skin, garlic for the lungs & cocoa I just read recently helps with strokes. I can go on and on lol.
Shipping for 2, 4oz bags of treats would be $3.52

We got the treats about a week ago. My rats love them! We ordered the pumpkin pie & oatmeal. Along with my ratties loving them so does my bird Ellie (quaker parrot)

I will for sure be ordering some more once they finish up all there other treats :yelcutelaugh: (I went on a treat buying frenzie around my town & online - so I don't want any of it to go bad before I get more)

But, I will also have to order a large bag... 1. because they were such a big hit & 2. because the ratties decided it was okay to share a few with Ellie :yelcutelaugh:

Thanks so much!!

Just to let everyone know that due to the heat it may take several days before I can make the treats and for them to dry out properly. It's like 100 right now so it's a scorcher today lol. With the heat though I will put in extra treats for everyone :) Thanks!

I know I asked this a couple of months ago, but are you still selling these? 3 of my ratties have their first bday coming up and I would love to get them some. Of course their gonna have to share with their "siblings", but I don't think they'll mind!  :)
If you are still selling them, what are the available flavors, sizes, and prices?
Thanks
