2 female rats in West-Central In
« on: March 26, 2004, 05:21:12 PM »
I need help!  My husband and I have 2 female rats and love them to peices, however, we are wanting to foster-to-adopt a child.  When the welfare department came to do the house visit- they said we needed to get rid of the rats.  Even after explaining that they are domestic rats and don't carry disease they were not convinced.  Now some of you may think that I have chosen the wrong path, but right now the foster path is the correct one for us.  I can transport up to 2 hours or so if you can help me out with finding a new home for my little ones.  I can email pics if you would like to see them.  I am not familiar with what kind they are but one of them has a beige head and white body (Josie) and the other is agouti head with a stripe down her back and white (Nisbet).  They are both a little over 1 year old.

Where are you located?  I could take them if they haven't found somewhere else to go.

we are in Terre Haute- if you aren't familiar with where that is we are about 60 miles from Indianapolis.  We are right on the border of Indiana and Illinois.

You can email me at abbenw@ma.rr.com if you are still interested

thanks a bunch for helping us out of our jam!
