I woke up this morning to find that Maya had died during th night.  I knew something was up because she had been acting even stranger than usual the past couple of weeks - walking into walls & stuff like that.  I wish I could have saved her.  At least she didn't die in that horrible shelter, all alone and unloved in a cold and lonely cage.

Thanks to all of you for your help and support.

Oh, I'm so, so sorry about Maya.  She had a rough life, but you made it as comfortable and full of love as possible.  I believe she'll come back to you in a healthier body. RIP Maya.  :angel13:

Sometimes animals only come into our lives so they can know unconditional love before they leave. Also, it reminds us of how much love we are capable of despite disabilities.

We've had "difficult" animals, too. Your sorry is our sorrow.

So sorry to hear about Maya....I am glad that you could provide a stable life for her at the end.  In those moments of lucidity, she knew!

I'm so sorry.  She's in a healthy body now ... you did the best you could, above and beyond what most people would deal with.  She was with you for a reason.  I hope your  has been healing, since I'm seeing this so late.
