I have a friend who has birds..i think 4 or so

she has a cage for them but her mother keeps the door open 24/7..i have only known her for 1 year and within that time

1 bird has been killed by flying into a pot of boiling water

and today 1 bird has been injured by their cats.

in my opinion. they shouldnt be free 24/7..and with cats!? your asking for trouble.

her mother and father dont agree to keep them locked up

"birds need to fly"

All of these could of been avoided with closing the door. i think it is her parents fault

does anyone agree w ith me?

or whats your opinion?

Yes birds need exercise. Maybe if they get the biggest cage possible and have a free range room they would feel better? I don't understand why people like this own birds...

Oh the bird should be able to free range but at it's own risk of death. I think not. What kind of birds are these? Birds weren't made to fly indoors, with cats, and many other hazards.
