Thankfully I only have one cage. ;)

I'm sure Jeannerat would take them back if I got in a tight spot, right Jeannerat? ;)

My Brian would take them if my mother wouldn't let my siblings keep them.  He is not fond of the keeping of prey animals as pets, but he admits that my girls are cute, and he has been known to call me at random times in the middle of the night to tell me that my mouse was being cute.  He knows how much they mean to me, and he would make sure to take care of them if I wasn't there to do so, just as I would take care of his snake for him.

Off topic here, but I find that amusing because some snakes are prey animals to other snakes.  :cheeky:

Another thing to think about - what about that girl on Rat Palace that had the terrible fire and couldn't get her rats out?  What a tragedy, and my heart went out to her.  Do you have an ESCAPE plan in place for your animals?

Oh that is so heart breaking. Many of you know we survived a bad fire and we all made it out alive. There where learning leassons and one of the best thing is what a lot of you already do. Keep travel cages next to the cages and a tub with lid is an even better idea. Not to mention they are very cheap.

Once our house is re-built the rats will stay on the first floor so if there was to be another fire I would do what I did last time. Put them out the window.

Ruthie - you went off topic-OK but do YOU have a plan for your rats?

Very true.  Would you take my girls if something happened to me and Brian was less than thrilled to take them?
You are only given a little spark of madness, you mustn't lose it.
