LOL! No idea...
I go through the submissions, open each one in photoshop, and eliminate the ones that don't meet the size guidelines (I don't often have time to do that as they come in during the submission period... I leave that up to the submitters). After I got done with that yesterday, I had 62 photos. I had to bring it down to 48 from there.
I do think a lot more got eliminated this year because of size issues -- and some of them were really good.

When I say I need them to be BIG, I mean it. 3" x 4" at 72 dpi will FLAT OUT not work for print. No even a chance. I really, truly mean that I want raw camera files... which are generally 16" x 22" (or bigger) at 72 dpi. So, during the year, if you take a picture that you think you might want to submit, toss a copy of the untouched file into a special folder. For me?
