Soft Paws are Awsome!
Goosemoose:
The Soft Paws product that petsmart sells are AWSOME! I did quite a bit of research before I bought them and could not find anything bad about them. Now that I have them on my kitties they work GREAT.
Softpaws are little plastic covers about 1/3 an inch that slip onto your kitties nails. The cats can still fully retract their claws. Once they are on, the cats can\'t destroy any of my furniture but still love to use the scratching posts. The cats dont seem to mind them at all either. They fall off about every 6 weeks (so I\'m told, mine have had them on for a week so far).
ratties:
oh defintely need to try them. my kitten thinks everything (including us)is a scratching post
Dearpie:
Once I got Tom, Richie's buddy, I've not noticed anyone using the furniture. They both use the scratching post entirely. Maybe they spend all their energy in chasing and playing, and not doing mischevious clawing? I've considering trying to find these though ... where'd you get them? Just incase, I'd like to have some on hand.
Goosemoose:
They used to only be available at the vets but Petsmart sells them now!
ruthiechan:
They're also called Soft Claws.
What's annoying about them is that they don't all fall off at the same time.
They don't give you enough little sticks to help you get the glue so you can't just put them on one at a time as they fall off.
So, I've resorted to nail clipping every week without fail. It seems to work so far.
