I did submit this a couple weeks ago but I do not see it listed..so FYI I will post it here for everyone
Massachusetts
Mr. G Mertz VMD
(781) 251-9131
500 Columbian St.
South Weymouth, MA 02190

This unique vet is specialized in exotic pets, like guinea pigs, ferrets, turtles, rabbits, lizards, crocodilians, various reptiles etc. He is also executive director of the New England Wildlife Center. Dr. Mertz is probably the greatest authority in that subject area in the state of Massachusetts.

Stevens Point, WI USA
Dr. Tom Kelble
Community Animal Hospital
They treat Cats, Dogs, and Pocket Pets
(715) 341-1723
2909 Michigan Ave, Stevens Point, WI  54481
http://local.yahoo.com/info-16845400-community-animal-hospital-stevens-point

I took my rat in for scabs/itchiness and we treated for mites and a skin infection. (Mites didn't show up on the skin scraping.) We treated with Baytril and Revolution and the whole bill (meds included, and the baytril was flavored) came to $12. A girl was coming out as I went in and said she was having her male rat neutered, for $20!! Dr. Tom is very considerate and, ironically, mildly allergic to rats. Now Blackberry is itch free :)
It's ASA!EXCLAIMATIONPOINT!

We had a respiratory emergency with our dear rattie the other day and our normal vet skipped town. When we called All Animal Clinic in Orange Park, we were referred to Fleming Island Pet Clinic. I left my directory listing for them on this site. I would definitely go back to them for rat vet services in the future. They saved our little rattie's eye. They got us right in when we called, even though we were new to them..

Pet's name: Gerald

My current rats: George, Pumpkin, Alfie, Valentino, Franky, Buddy, Olivia, and Dash

My vet works at 2 clinics. Definitely ask for her, because not all of the other vets know much about rats.

Dr. Stacia Gilbert
Alpine Animal Clinic
321 Mill Street Danville Pa, 17821
Phone: 570-271-1828
Fax: 570-271-1835

1225 W. Spruce St. Coal Township Pa, 17866
Phone: 570-644-1006
Fax: 570-644-1109

http://www.alpineanimalclinic.net/index.htm

She knows what she's doing, and she has great prices. A whole neuter, with everything included, is only $60. And if I needed to drop off the rat the night before the surgery if I couldn't make the drop off time in the morning, I wouldn't be charged for the stay. If you decide to go to her, please send me a PM so I can give you my information for their referral reward system.

Four Paws Animal Hospital
(618) 632-4615
2006 W US Highway 50
O'Fallon, IL

I've had a cat surgery, rabbit surgery, and rat surgeries does here, and they're great. They have a couple vets who treat exotics, and they do exotics surgeries all the time. They have very reasonable prices.

^^^I can vouch for Four Paws - Dr. Bollmeier has done all but one rat surgery that my rats have undergone, and they've all been successful. He even removed two tumors from my girl in one surgery, and one was on the top of her head... you couldn't even tell the tumor was there by the time he was done. :)

Algonquin Animal Clinic
10412 Route 31
Algonquin, IL 60102
(847)-658-3626

Dr. Durante treats very many treats and has tons of experience with surgeries. I had two tumors removed from my girl at once and she's recovering nicely. I would however recommend that you tell them you want to bring your rat home the same day as they keep them over night typically, and no one is there at night. Very pricey, but do good work.
