Paw size
« on: May 11, 2006, 08:24:08 PM »
How much does paw size tell about the size of a full grown dog?  As in the size of the paws as puppies?  Willow was born to a mother that was 15lb, father that was 75 - so we guessed early she'd be 30-40 lb, her paws are not really that big for her though.

not a whole lot.  look at clumber spaniels.... they have huuuuuge paws, as puppies and adults.  i've never found puppy paw size to be an accurate way of gauging adult size.  sorry!

I agree with this.

I'm told it is more the size of some joints that tell you how much growing your dog is going to do.  But I don't know enough about it to tell you about it, sorry.
