Its 4ft tall, by 2ft deep, by 2.5 ft wide I think (been a while now since I built it). I did have fun putting it together! And was very disappointed to see the redecorating that the ratties have already done, lol.

That's the only part of the grotto cages that concerns me; the cleaning.  My wire Martin's cages; I can chuck 'em in the tub, scrub, dry and done.

That cage is gorgeous, by the way.  Lots and lots to do; great for active girlies!
I miss you and love you Teddy Ratsevelt and Benny.  Thank you for being my heart rats.

The grotto is sooo freakin easy to clean! All I have to do is swap the fleece, take a minute to wipe the levels with a babywipe, and I'm done! Then maybe once every other week all the plastics go into the tub to be scrubbed. I do NOT miss wire cages! god I hated lugging them into the tub, ripping up sponges, trying to clean the pee out of wire.... UGH. The grotto is AMAZING.

I'm ready to move in myself!   ;)   (It's much cleaner than my house is right now- LOL)

What an awesome house. Do you have any trouble with the girls just moving the fleece out of the way in this arrangement?  Do they tunnel under the fleece and pee all over the shelf? I guess they would but it must still be pretty easy to clean.

I was using velcro to hold the fleece down. It was doing a great job, except the velcro on the cage was getting nasty from pee and I've pulled half it up. They DO move it around a bit, mostly on the bottom level and leave the others intact. They move around their toys like crazy though! And they are constantly pulling the ladders down and just jumping from shelf to shelf. They haven't tunneled under the fleece, they prefer the hammocks :)
