Frozen Veggies???
« on: January 31, 2007, 12:32:00 AM »
I was wondering if thawed frozen veggies were okay for the rabbits?  I have always done fresh but i feel as though they can get a wider variety of things all year round if they can eat certain frozen veggies.  If this is not okay I will not do it.  I wanted to make sure before I gave them anything.  My grocery has a pretty pathetic fresh produce section so I usually stick to red or green leaf lettuce, parsley, cilantro, carrots, and kale (when avaliable).  Sometimes I do broccoli and apples.  Thanks in advance.

Freezing veggies leeches some of the important nutrients. I would never give my bunny frozen veggies - definitely stick with fresh. Much yummier and crunchier, too :)
