8 wk old parakeet - Ohio - Needs home
« on: April 17, 2007, 08:35:23 PM »

A pair of parakeets that are sitting on eggs just came to me. They had their one baby with them. It is 8-9 weeks old, and is ready to leave mom & dad.
It is a parent raised bird, and not the tamest thing in the world. (Ok, so it's not tame at all) But it is young. Maybe someone here will want to take the time to show it the ways of human-companionship.
Sorry this is the only pic I have at the moment. I want to keep pics to a minimum til they "settle" in a bit.

Email me with any questions.
In Ashland, Ohio, No shipping, no delivering, no meeting half way.
"Adoption Fee" is $5.00 for the baby ONLY. The parents are terrified and are sitting on eggs so they aren't leaving for the time being.
Cage is not included, however I can provide a temporary loaner cage if needed. I will expect this cage back, as it is NOT adequate permanent living space for a parakeet.

As of today, April 19th, I have put this little guy's adoption on hold.

He has not been eating on his own and has required handfeeding, so he's not able to leave for the time being.

He won't be available again until this is cleared up, and I'm POSITIVE he will not go on a hunger strike in his new home.

Sorry for any confusion.

Is anybody satisfied with who they really are?
