Scubbs:
Ooo... I totally want a set (or five)!

*emails Seapets about shipping to the US*

Edit:  So apparently 69.95 is $140.  That's a little too pricey even for me  :P  Especially since you apparently mostly only get connectors.

There is a starter set:

Yes, it really is expensive.....   I think I'll have pet rats for many, many years though and don't mind spending on items that will be heavily used.  Being reconfigurable would really keep their interest up.  Two of my boys are very intelligent and thoroughly love to explore.

Here is a link for the catalog from the manufacturer.  More specs about air holes, etc.  Can't really tell how many actual tubes are in the box though.....  There is a picture of a maze that they built from one box which makes it look like a lot of pieces.

I've requested both retail and wholesale pricing.  If there is enough interest, maybe we could do a group purchase.

menagerie:
It looks like fun, but I can see it being a cleaning nightmare.

I counted the tunnel pieces, there are 35 in the second configuration that they built. I think shipping will be a killer, since it says that volume is 1.5 cubic meters. If you're going to order in bulk, you may also be subject to import tax.

Yes, maybe super pet tubes are still the way to go.  I just got two used ones on ebay for $5....
