My bunny has got a head tilt and the vet said that if he isnt better in 5 days i must consider putting him down. Does anyone have any experience with head tilt and what can i do to help my rabbit get better. thanx

Have you read this thread?  I don't know a lot about bunnies, but there might be some good info in here.

I think you need to consider finding better vet pronto. Is this an exotics/small animal vet? Head tilt is definitely not an immediate death sentence. Here is more information on head tilt in rabbits:

And even more information on it can be found here: http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabrefs.html#tilt

I second that you should really think about finding another vet - 5 days is not enough time for almost ANYTHING to resolve - that is poor advice.

vets aren't always right...my bunnies was doing fine,we got them during early spring, and about 2 weeks ago,my bunny wouldn't eat,got some kind of virus, and he got so stiff, his neck and spine looked almost broken.. :'( :(  :'( :-\
he died the day after halloween...
if your bunny can't move it's neck,i'd suggest getting him a cardboard box,or a pet bed,and make it nice and comfy, and give him lots of care. :balloon:
