Sewing comfies for your kids
« on: August 15, 2007, 10:52:21 PM »
I've been doing quite a bit of sewing for my kids but I want some more ideas.  What kinds of things do you sew for them?  I'm not home right now so I can't post pics, but if you've got pics please post them.  I've made hammock variations, tubes, cubes, and those little ferret playhouses (the round ones).  Anyone else sew anything cool?  Again, please post pics if you've got them

I started sewing regular, extra large hammocks and leaving the corners not sewn. I take two strips of fabric that would normally be the "loop" for the hooks and sew them in the opposite ends of the hammock. Ugh I don't think that made sense AT ALL. Haha. Basically, it makes the hammock all covered up and the ratties love them. I'd take a picture but I left my camera at my parents' house. Ugh!

I've been thinking about making a cube with an attached tube hammock, if that makes sense. Kind of a mini playground!
